Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Trainer to join our team. As a Personal Trainer, you will perform fitness assessments, develop training plans, and provide education on how to use gym equipment safely. Your primary goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives. The ideal candidate is a professional and reliable teacher with a passion for fitness.
Responsibilities
- Perform fitness assessments to understand each client’s current fitness level,
- Ensure that all gym safety standards and procedures are followed,
- Develop and conduct physical fitness programs, individualized and tailorable for fitness goals of employees (staff, detailees and assignees);
- Provide general fitness, machine and free weight instruction for individuals inquiring on proper (industry standard) utilization; and
- Coordinate personalized fitness regimens for employees who schedule training sessions,
- Track the number of fitness regimens established, continued and concluded each month.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Physical Fitness, or a related discipline; and
- A current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification,
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, staff shall have at least five (5) years of experience as a Certified Fitness Trainer,
- Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification,
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred,
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills,
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS)
