Job Summary
We are seeking an Intelligence Educator to join our team! As an Instructor, you will be facilitating a classroom, following the agreed-upon class schedule, participating in student discussion boards, and responding to student questions or issues in a timely manner. You will also be reviewing classwork and providing feedback to help participants understand their course materials, address upcoming concerns for participants, and ensure each participants has the tools they need to succeed. The ideal candidate has a background in education or teaching, has strong communication skills, and can cultivate a positive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Maintain prewritten course schedule and timelines
- Participate in classroom discussions
- Answer participants questions to the best of your ability, helping participants work through problems and find solutions
- Cultivate a positive learning environment for students
- Instructor shall serve as a Intelligence Community (IC) Tradecraft Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Intelligence Educator.
- Instructor shall provide IC and Tradecraft Management learning and instruction through multiple platforms to include classroom/in-person, virtual, and web-based. The audience size can be small, large, or one-on-one.
- Educator shall support diverse methodologies for instruction to include cover coaching, counseling, or mentoring roles.
- Instructor shall support the full range of Cover and Tradecraft Management training courses, and other learning material developed for training.
- Instructor shall provide timely and responsive feedback to training Coordinator regarding classroom management information and data calls.
- Educator shall ensure course content and exercises remain relevant and engaging, and contribute to the evolution of Cover and Tradecraft course content
- Instructor shall be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with other schoolhouses, directorates, mission centers, and IC partners to stay aware of workforce tradecraft training needs.
- Instructor shall adhere to all Learning Enterprise, Learning Center, and training regulations, policies, and standards of instruction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a teaching position desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to multitask, and shift priorities as needed
- Familiarity with the Intelligence Community
